The Firepit Tipis

Blackburn’s stunning Cathedral Quarter has been transformed into a Winter Wonderland this Christmas under the cover of huge festive tipis. Head there for live music and entertainment, festive markets, a bar, bbq and dancefloor plus a warming fire pit to gather around. And, Father Christmas is set to visit too for two special grotto experiences on November 9th and 16th. Reel Cinema

Watch the latest festive films at Blackburn’s REEL Cinema! From Disney’s ‘Wish’ to the brand new ‘Wonka,’ plus all the latest releases for date night! The new Ribblesdale Tap craft ale bar!

Blackburn has a brand new craft ale bar – The Ribblesdale Tap! Run by the award-winning Blackedge Brewery, you can look forward to the finest hand-pulled ales, craft beers and artisan ciders, plus the full range of locally-produced spirits from their friends at Brindle Distillery. The tap room – in the striking 19th Century building which was formerly home to the Ribblesdale Hotel, Gladstone’s and Baroque – is open Weds and Thurs from 3pm and Fri, Sat, Sun from 12 noon.
